Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, died on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54. The cause of her death was a small bowel obstruction caused by adhesions that developed as a complication from bariatric surgery she had undergone several years earlier. This complication is known to be a long-term risk of such weight-loss surgeries. She was found unresponsive at her home in Calabasas, California, after suffering cardiac arrest and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
