Mikaela is a character played by Megan Fox in the first two Transformers movies. However, she was absent in the third installment, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The reason for her absence was not explained in the movie, but it is widely believed that Fox was fired from the franchise due to a falling out with director Michael Bay. In the movie, Mikaela and Sams relationship seemed strong at the end of Transformers 2, but in the third movie, Sams love interest was quietly replaced by Carly Spencer, played by Rosie Huntington-Whitely, with little explanation for why Mikaela and Sam ended their relationship besides a mention from one of the Transformers that Sam "got dumped".
