Jane Marczewski, also known as Nightbirde, was a contestant on Americas Got Talent who gained popularity for her inspiring audition performance of her original song "Its OK" in 2021. She revealed that she had been battling cancer for a few years and her positive attitude and golden voice captured the hearts of the judges and audience. Nightbirde was awarded the Golden Buzzer by Simon Cowell, which would directly move her to the live shows. However, Nightbirdes health took a turn for the worse and she left the competition before the live shows. After a four-year battle with cancer, Nightbirde passed away on February 19, 2022, at the age of 31. Her family released an album of her original music titled "Its OK" after her death, and the proceeds from the album sales benefit the Nightbirde Foundation, which helps young women with breast cancer.
