SHINees Onew, whose real name is Lee Jin-ki, has been on a temporary hiatus from group activities due to health concerns. On June 9, 2023, SM Entertainment, Onews label, announced that he would be taking a break from SHINees upcoming concert and album activities to focus on recovering. Fans noticed his drastic weight loss during a recent variety show appearance, which increased their concern for his health. Onews absence did not stop SHINee from proceeding with their concert and album promotions with the remaining three members. Onew himself promised fans that he would return in good health and asked them to stay healthy too. SM Entertainment also stated that they would do their best to assist Onew in meeting the fans again in good health and would inform them as soon as he is recovered and able to return to the stage.
