Sadhguru, the Indian spiritual leader and founder of the Isha Foundation, recently underwent an emergency brain surgery in March 2024 due to massive swelling and bleeding in his brain caused by a severe head injury. He sustained the injury after banging his head on glass while trying to ward off a monkey. Although the surgery initially went well, he experienced a rare post-surgical complication where his body reacted as if there were a severe infection despite no infection being present. He went through a critical phase but gradually recovered and was on a motorcycle within two months. As of September 2025, Sadhguru is active, delivering spiritual teachings including guidance for the Navratri festival and participating in events like Tomorrowland 2025. He also continues to lead programs at the Isha Yoga Center and promote spiritual and environmental initiatives.
