Marshawn Kneeland, a 24-year-old defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, died in November 2025. Multiple outlets reported that he died from an apparent self- inflicted gunshot wound following a police pursuit and a traffic incident in Frisco, Texas. The Cowboys publicly expressed their sadness and noted Kneeland’s girlfriend and family in their statement, and the NFL disclosed it would provide support to kneeland’s teammates. Authorities indicated that a traffic stop led to a pursuit, and Kneeland ultimately died by suicide.
