A Holo Chest is a type of container in Fortnite: Battle Royale, introduced in Chapter 3: Season 4. These chests are special loot containers that require keys to open. They are different from standard chests because they project a holographic image of the loot that is inside, allowing players to make an informed decision before unlocking them.
To find Holo Chests in Fortnite, players can first add a Key to their inventory. Keys can be found as ground loot, in chests, or are usually awarded for capturing Capture Points. Once a player has a Key in their inventory, Holo Chests will be marked on the mini-map with a small white padlock icon. Named locations are a great place to look for Holo Chests, but players can also track them down by exploring clusters of buildings around the map. Vehicles, such as the new Rogue Bike, can be helpful in this process.
