In Fortnite, Holo Chests are a type of container that was introduced in Chapter 3: Season 4. These chests are different from standard chests because they project a hologram on top of the loot that is inside. Holo Chests are often associated with challenges and can significantly improve a players odds of winning a match, as they usually contain Exotic weapons or at least weapons of Epic rarity.
To open a Holo Chest, players need to have a Holo Key in their inventory. Holo Keys can be found as ground loot, in chests, or are sometimes awarded for capturing Capture Points. Once a player has a Holo Key, they can use it to unlock a Holo Chest and claim the loot inside.
