A major element found in eggs is calcium. In addition, eggs contain significant amounts of phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, and trace elements like iron, zinc, copper, and iodine. The egg yolk especially holds most of the minerals and vitamins, with calcium being highly concentrated in the eggshell and yolk.
