A repackage album is a version of a previously released album that is re-released with additional songs and/or a new concept for the album. It contains all the songs from the previous album plus new ones. Repackage albums are also known as reissues or deluxe editions in the West. In the K-Pop industry, there are different types of albums, including studio albums, full-length albums, mini albums, live albums, and mixtapes. A full album, also called a full-length album or studio album, contains ten or more songs, while a mini album or extended play is longer than a single album but too short to be called a full album, usually consisting of four to seven tracks. Live albums consist of live recordings of concerts, and mixtapes are usually hip-hop albums that are released digitally.
