Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying difficulty ranging from 3 miles to marathon distances. It is an extreme wellness platform that helps humans become unbreakable. The first Spartan Race event was held in 2010 at the Catamount Outdoor Center in Williston, Vermont and represented the city of Burlington, Vermont. Roughly 500 competitors had to "run, crawl, jump and swim" and overcome a variety of obstacles. The race series has been franchised to 30 countries, including Canada, South Korea, and Australia. There are different types of Spartan Races, including:

  • Sprint: This is a 5K race with 20 obstacles. It is the shortest and fastest race.

  • Super: This is a 10K race with 25 obstacles. It is a true test of speed and endurance.

  • Beast: This is a half-marathon race with 30 obstacles. It is the most difficult race.

  • Ultra: This is a marathon distance race with 60 obstacles. It is the longest and most challenging race.

  • Stadion: This is a 5K race with 20 obstacles that takes place in iconic ballparks and stadiums.

  • Trail: This is a trail running race that takes place in the wilderness with no obstacles. Races can be either a 10K or a half-marathon.

  • Honor Series: This is a race series that occurs on military bases throughout the country and is open to current military, veterans, and the general public. The course runs from 4–5 miles and contains obstacles similar to the other races.

Spartan Race brings a fully immersive training program that balances class time with hands-on practical application of those skills.
