A Twitch raid is a feature that allows a streamer to send their viewers to another streamers channel. When a streamer initiates a raid, their entire audience is sent to the target channel. Raids are an engagement tool that allows streamers to share their community with another creator, inviting their viewers to jump into another stream. Raids are not an avenue for meaningful growth, but rather a way to make connections and network with other broadcasters by sharing audiences and growing communities. There are some etiquette rules to follow when raiding, such as not raiding into someone who is in follower/sub only mode and raiding someone of similar size to you. To initiate a raid, a chatbot or extension POSTs a request to the Start a raid endpoint.
