VVS Diamonds: Very, Very Slightly Included

VVS stands for "Very, Very Slightly Included," and it is a measure of a diamonds clarity, referring to the visual appearance of a diamond and its internal inclusions or external blemishes. VVS diamonds have very tiny inclusions that are difficult to notice even when viewing the diamond face-up under 10x magnification. These diamonds are considered "eye-clean," meaning that the inclusions or blemishes are not visible to the naked eye. VVS diamonds are one step away from being internally flawless (FL) diamonds, and they typically show minuscule inclusions such as pinpoints, needles, internal graining, or clouds, and tiny surface-reaching inclusions like a chip, cavity, or feather. The VVS category is divided into two grades: VVS1 denotes a higher clarity grade than VVS2. VVS diamonds are of higher quality than VS (Very Slightly Included) diamonds, and they are more expensive due to their exceptional clarity.
