An Amazon OTP (one-time password) could mean one of two things. Either it is required to complete a high-value delivery or it is sent for two-factor authentication (2FA) to gain access to your account. If you receive an Amazon OTP text message when you weren’t even trying to log into your account, it means someone else is trying to log in. OTPs add an extra layer of security to your packages, and they’re real and genuinely sent from Amazon to offer extra protection to your account and deliveries. If youre not the one trying to log in, it is recommended to change your Amazon account password immediately and enable two-factor authentication.
