An addendum to a contract is a legally binding additional document that can be added to an existing contract. It is used to modify, clarify, or nullify a portion of the original document, typically by adding something new to the preexisting agreement or by extending the dates for which the contract is valid. Unlike an amendment, an addendum does not modify the existing terms of the contract, but rather it expands upon them
