An expo, also known as a trade fair or exhibition, is an organized presentation and display of a selection of items, usually within a cultural or educational setting such as a museum, art gallery, park, library, or exhibition center. Expos can be of varying scale, from small local events to large international public expositions. They serve as an opportunity for businesses and organizations within a particular industry or niche to showcase products, services, and new developments in their business. Expos can be consumer-centered or trade/business exhibitions, and they may feature demonstrations, products and services for sale, and the like. The goal of an expo is to promote businesses, network with other organizations, and potentially secure new customers. Some trade fairs are open to the public, while others can only be attended by company representatives (members of the trade) and members of the press.
