What is Autism?
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, and communication. It is a complex developmental condition involving persistent challenges with social communication, restricted interests, and repetitive behavior. Autism is not an illness or disease, but a different way in which the brain works from other people. It is something a person is born with, and signs of autism might be noticed at a young age or later in life. While there is no cure for autism, some people may need support to help them with certain things. Autistic people can live a full life.
