Bcc stands for "blind carbon copy" and is a feature in Outlook that allows you to send a private copy of an email message to recipients you specify. When you add a recipients name to the Bcc box in an email message, a copy of the message is sent to that recipient, but that name is not visible to other recipients of the message. The Bcc field can be found in two locations, depending on whether you are composing a new message or replying to or forwarding a message. To add or remove Bcc from an email message, you can go to the Options tab in the Show Fields group and click Bcc. Using Bcc is useful when you want to send an email to multiple recipients without them knowing about the other receivers. It is also helpful for sending out email marketing campaigns to email lists without sharing everyones email addresses. However, using Bcc is a favorite technique of spammers, so many junk email filters flag messages that use the Bcc box as junk.
