In the share market, the terms "BE" and "EQ" refer to different series of stocks traded on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in India

. "BE" stands for "Book Entry" and refers to shares that are traded in the Trade-to-Trade or T-segment, where no intraday trading is allowed and trades can only be settled by accepting or giving the delivery of shares

. On the other hand, "EQ" stands for "Equity" and refers to shares where intraday trading is possible in addition to delivery

. Other series of stocks traded on the NSE include "BL" for facilitating block deals, "BT" for providing an exit route to small investors having shares in the physical form with a cap of maximum 500 shares, "GC" for trading Government Securities and Treasury Bills, and "IL" for Foreign Institutional Investors
