Blade Runner 2049 is a 2017 American epic neo-noir science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. It is a sequel to the 1982 film Blade Runner, and stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, with Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, and Jared Leto in supporting roles. The movie is about a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), who unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to destabilize society and the course of civilization. His discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner whos been missing for 30 years.
