Bottom growth on testosterone refers to the growth of the clitoris in trans men, nonbinary people, and other FTM (female-to-male) folks who use testosterone. It is a normal side effect of gender-affirming hormone therapy. The clitoris and clitoral hood typically get longer and/or wider, and this growth can happen in as little as one week, but can take up to 3 months. The amount of growth varies from person to person, but typical bottom growth on testosterone therapy is approximately 1 to 2 inches. Sometimes this rapid growth comes with physical discomfort or even pain.
