Choti Diwali, also known as Naraka Chaturdashi, is a Hindu festival celebrated on the fourteenth day of the dark fortnight (Krishna Paksha) in the Hindu calendar month of Kartik. It is the second day of the five-day long Diwali celebrations. The day commemorates the killing of the demon king, Narakasura, by Lord Krishna, Satyabhama, and Goddess Kali. People celebrate Choti Diwali by lighting diyas, decorating their homes, and performing various rituals. It is also a day for cleaning and decorating homes, worshiping Lord Krishna, and offering prayers to Lord Yamraj to wash off all sins and protect from going to hell.
