A country club is a privately owned club that generally offers a variety of recreational sports and facilities for its members. On the other hand, "Country vs. Country Club" is a theme for spirit week at some schools. During this event, students dress up in either "country" attire, which includes plaid button-ups, bootcut jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats, or "country club" attire, which includes preppy clothing such as bow ties and dresses. The event is meant to be a fun way for students to show school spirit and participate in friendly competition.
