DP ID is the identification number of the Depository Participant (DP) where the demat account is maintained. In the case of Zerodha, the DP ID is 12081600 or 12081601, and it is the same for all Zerodha customers. The DP ID is required when applying for IPOs and generating the CDSL TPIN for holdings authorization. To view the DP ID, BO ID, and Demat ID, follow these steps:
- Visit console.zerodha.com/dashboard.
- Click on Account.
- Click on Demat.
BO ID is the Beneficiary Owner Identification Number, which is an 8-digit number used to identify a unique demat account held with the depository (CDSL) through your Depository Participant (DP) .
