DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line, which is a family of technologies used to transmit digital data over telephone lines. It is a type of high-speed internet connection that uses existing telephone wiring to transmit data via a DSL modem, making the internet accessible to users. The term DSL is widely understood to mean Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), which is the most commonly installed DSL technology for internet access. DSL service can be delivered simultaneously with wired telephone service on the same telephone line since DSL uses higher frequency bands for data. There are different types of DSL, including ADSL (Asymmetric DSL), SDSL (Symmetric DSL), and VDSL (Very- high-speed Digital Subscriber Line). DSL is a cost-effective method to connect to the internet with high-speed bandwidth, and it does not interfere with the landline phone service because of different operating frequencies
