The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) is a representative body of the students from most colleges and faculties of the University of Delhi. Each constituent college of the University of Delhi elects its own students union annually, and the DUSU exists as an umbrella organization for those colleges. The DUSU is responsible for building and preserving a healthy political culture and has a long history of student political activity. The DUSU election is an annual election held by the Delhi University Students Union to elect student representatives for various positions, including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary. The election is held in September every year, and the results are declared soon after the voting process is completed. In 2023, the turnout for the DUSU elections stood at 42%, and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three posts of the Central Panel, while the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) won the Vice President post.
