Electric Zoo is an annual electronic music festival held over Labor Day weekend in New York City on Randalls Island. The festival represents all genres of electronic music, bringing top international DJs and live acts from multiple countries to four stages. Established in 2009 by Made Event, Electric Zoo has become one of New York City's largest music festivals. The event features a wide range of artists, both top names and underground, making it a must-attend attraction on the electronic dance music circuit.
The festival has grown over the years, with Electric Zoo 2011 being a three-day event (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) instead of the previous two days, and featuring over 100 artists, expanding from the 66 of the previous year. In 2018, Electric Zoo celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special event called "The Big 10". The 2019 edition of the festival had an overall attendance of 85,000 people.
Electric Zoo takes place at Randall's Island Park, which is located along the East River between Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. The venue is transformed into a lush green space, creating a dream-like atmosphere for festival-goers.
