what is eog coach in train

EOG stands for "End-on Generator" and is a technology used in LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) trains in India. The EOG concept eliminates the need for an axle-mounted generator, battery bank, and inverter on each coach, and replaces it with one unit of DG (Diesel Generator) set. This technology is used to generate electricity for the trains lighting, air conditioning, and other electrical systems. EOG coaches are usually located at the end of the train. Initially, Indian Railways used self-generating coaches, where each coach had a generator to create electricity for itself.
