what is green olympiad 2023

The Green Olympiad 2023 is an annual written examination on the environment initiated by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in 1999. It is a multiple-choice question-based examination for undergraduate and postgraduate students that evaluates environmental consciousness, behavior, and aptitude of students. The exam covers a range of topics such as water, waste, energy, air, biodiversity, climate, global warming, sustainable development, and green skills. The Olympiad is designed for students of Standard 4–12 with its objective being to sensitize and build capacity of students on environment, sustainability, and green skills. The exam is conducted by the Educating Youth for Sustainable Development Division of TERI and endorsed by UNESCO and DESD. The Olympiad is open to students in classes 4-12 from India and abroad. The official application form for Green Olympiad 2023 has already been closed. The examination date of 01 September 2023 is changed to 02 November 2023.
