IBPS PO stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officer. It is an exam conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to recruit Probationary Officers for all the member PSBs as well as a few public sector insurance companies. The exam is conducted every year and consists of three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview. The IBPS PO exam is for the selection of candidates for the 11 public sector banks. The eligibility criteria for the exam is a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a university of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
