iPhone Lockdown Mode is an advanced security feature designed to protect devices against extremely rare and highly sophisticated cyber attacks. It is an optional, extreme protection that's intended for individuals who might be personally targeted by some of the most sophisticated digital threats. When enabled, Lockdown Mode limits or blocks certain apps, websites, and features to reduce the attack surface that could be exploited by highly targeted attacks. It is available in iOS 16 or later, iPadOS 16 or later, watchOS 10 or later, and macOS Ventura or later. To turn on Lockdown Mode on an iPhone, you can go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Lockdown Mode, then tap Turn On Lockdown Mode
. This feature is not meant for mainstream use by most people and provides limited functionality, so it should only be enabled if there is a belief that the device might be targeted by highly sophisticated attacks
