Jeep ducking is a trend among Jeep owners where they place rubber ducks on other Jeeps for fun and to spread kindness. The trend began in 2020 in Ontario, Canada, when a Jeep owner named Allison Parliament placed a rubber duck with the message "Cool Jeep" on a tricked-out and lifted Jeep Wrangler. The trend has since spread worldwide and has become a cultural phenomenon, with more than 62,000 members in the official Jeep Ducking group. The rules of Jeep ducking are simple: any Jeep can be ducked, and the only real rule is kindness. Jeep owners can buy rubber ducks to keep in their Jeeps and randomly place them on other Jeeps they see, along with sweet notes of encouragement. When a Jeep owner finds a duck on their Jeep, they can take a picture and post it on social media with the hashtag #duckduckjeep so that other members of the Jeep duck community can find it, like it, and comment on it. The trend has unified Jeep owners while on road trips or just running errands around town, much like how cruise ducks have bonded cruisers together with an inside secret.
