A labour card number is a distinctive identification code assigned to every employee in the UAE. It is provided either by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) or by the relevant free zone authority governing the employees workplace. The labour card serves as a fundamental reference point for the worker and their employer, ensuring the smooth operation of the labour market. The labour card contains a wealth of information, including the worker’s name, occupation, employer, nationality, expiration date, personal identification number, work permit number, and labour card number. The UAE labour card number can be found in the following ways:
- MOHRE Application: The labour card number can be found through the MOHRE smartphone application by downloading the app and logging in using UAE Pass.
- UAE Pass Account: The labour card number can also be found through the UAE Pass app by opening the app, going to the Add document section, selecting Labour Card under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and giving consent.
Its important to note that employees working in the UAE need to have a UAE labour card, regardless of their nationality or the type of work they are performing.
