A library is a collection of resources in a variety of formats, such as books, manuscripts, recordings, or films, that is organized by information professionals or other experts. It is a place where literary, musical, artistic, or reference materials are kept for use but not for sale. Libraries can be physical locations, virtual spaces, or both, and they may be organized and maintained by public bodies, institutions, corporations, or private individuals. In addition to providing materials, libraries also offer the services of librarians who are trained experts in finding, selecting, circulating, and organizing information, as well as interpreting information needs and navigating and analyzing large amounts of information with a variety of resources.
