Madhiy is a term used in Islam to describe a sticky white fluid that is emitted when a person is thinking of or desiring sexual intercourse. Its emission is not accompanied by feelings of pleasure, it does not gush out in spurts, and it is not followed by exhaustion. This may happen to men and women alike, although it is more common among women. Madhiy is impure and the penis and testicles must be washed, but it does not require ghusl. Instead, a person only needs to do wudu. It is important to note that madhiy is different from maniy, which is a thick white liquid that is discharged during sexual intercourse and requires ghusl.
