What is Magisk?
Magisk is free and open-source software developed by John Wu, also known as topjohnwu, for the rooting of Android devices. It supports devices running Android 6.0 and later). Magisk is a systemless approach and modular in design, offering a safe and easy way to root a device and add new features and functionality. It allows users to gain root access to their Android devices, enabling them to install various modifications and customizations, making it a popular choice for Android enthusiasts). The systemless root technique used by Magisk does not directly modify the system files, but instead installs itself as an additional layer that overlays the operating system, providing several advantages such as the ability to pass Googles safety tests, add and modify files, and make changes to the core and partition level without issues.
Magisk comes in the form of a ZIP file that can be flashed via custom recovery, such as TWRP, to achieve root on Android devices. Once the Magisk ZIP file is flashed, users can manage root access and install various modules through an app called Magisk Manager. Magisk Manager provides a graphical interface for managing the root process, installing modules, hiding root access, and performing updates.
