MMS Messaging
Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is a standard way to send messages that include multimedia content to and from a mobile phone over a cellular network. It allows users to send multimedia content such as pictures, audio, video, and other media in addition to text, unlike the text-only Short Message Service (SMS) . MMS was built using the same technology as SMS to allow SMS users to send multimedia content. MMS messages are capable of incorporating images, video, and audio files, making it a media-rich form of communication. Businesses use MMS for multimedia campaigns, customer engagement, and improving the overall customer experience. Unlike SMS, MMS messages do not have a character limit and can deliver a variety of media, including up to forty seconds of video, one image, a slideshow of multiple images, or audio. MMS messages are delivered in a different way from SMS, and they are not encrypted like iMessages. When a text includes a file, such as a picture, video, emoji, or a website link, it becomes an MMS.
