MPIN stands for Mobile Personal Identification Number and is a 6-digit numeric PIN used for financial and non-financial transactions in Canara Banks mobile banking application. It is a customer authentication number required every time while making a transaction through mobile banking apps. To use Canara Banks mobile banking application, customers need to have a registered mobile number linked with their customer ID of the bank account number in CBS. Customers can set their MPIN by logging into the Canara Bank mobile banking application and selecting the "Set MPIN" option. If a customers mobile handset is lost, it cannot be misused by anyone until they know the users passcode and MPIN. In such cases, the user should immediately report the incident to the nearest Canara Bank branch and get the mobile banking blocked.
