Music Row is a historic district located southwest of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, United States. It is considered the heart of Nashvilles entertainment industry and is where the country music publishers, record labels, and recording studios are located. The area is centered on 16th and 17th Avenues South, which are known as Music Square East and West, respectively. Music Row has become a popular tourist destination, with numerous shops, upscale eateries, and music-related attractions. Some of the most iconic places to visit include the historic RCA Studio B, Columbia’s Historic Quonset Hut, and Owen Bradley Park. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and other music industry agencies also have offices on Music Row. Music Row played a significant role in music history, and it is where stars are made, where publishers pair artists with songwriters for co-writes for a hit record, and where deals are signed. It is important to note that Music Row is not Lower Broadway, the neon-lined, tourist-welcoming strip of honky-tonks and bars in downtown Nashville.
