Nudging someone on TikTok is similar to poking a friend on Facebook. It is a feature that allows users to notify their favorite content creators that they want them to go live, so they can watch them in real-time. This feature can be used by tapping the bell icon on a creators profile, through direct messages, and through the profile view history. When someone is nudged, they receive an alert that lets them know their fans want to see them go live, which may encourage them to begin a live stream. The nudge feature is designed to increase engagement between everyday viewers and content creators with a single click. Users can enable or disable the nudge feature in their settings, and they can also nudge a creator by visiting their profile and tapping on the small bell icon on the top-right of the screen.
