A packet is a group of information that is sent between your device and the games servers, and vice versa. When youre experiencing packet burst, its due to some kind of issue with the connection.
Packet burst is shown in-game with an image of three orange squares stacked on each other, and it will also say "Packet Burst" in orange letters next to the players mini-map while in a match. The effects of packet burst can be felt when youre 100% sure that youve killed an opponent, but the shots somehow didnt connect.
There are several ways to fix packet burst, including turning off On-Demand Texture Streaming, checking the server status, and resetting your router. If the problem exists on the players end, there are a few possible solutions. However, if packet bursts are due to server-side issues, then theres little players can do to fix it.
