Posh Spice is a nickname for Victoria Beckham, an English fashion designer, singer, and television personality. She rose to prominence in the 1990s as a member of the girl group the Spice Girls, in which she was given the nickname "Posh Spice" by the media. The nickname stuck and became part of her brand, although she distanced herself from it after the Spice Girls disbanded. In a recent Instagram post, Beckham explained that she was given the name "Posh" in 1996 over lunch with Peter Loraine of Top of The Pops Magazine and the rest of the Spice Girls. She said that it wasnt her first choice, but she ultimately grew into it on her own terms.
