A presentation program, also known as presentation software, is a software package used to display information in the form of a slide show. It has three major functions: an editor that allows text to be inserted and formatted, a method for inserting and manipulating graphic images and media clips, and a slide-show system to display the content. Presentation software can be used in businesses and schools for discussing a topic or for teaching. Once created, a person or group of people stand in front of other people and present the presentation. Presentations are shown one slide at a time, to explain the slides topic and then moving to the next slide until all are shown. The slideshows that are created with presentation software can be used in a number of ways. Slideshows can be projected on a screen in order to add visual elements to a lecture or presentation being given, they can be distributed electronically for users to view or print from their own computers, or they can be set as a self-running show (for example at a kiosk) . Some popular presentation software products include Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and iWork Keynote on the Apple.
