Expo 2023 Doha is an International Horticultural Expo to be hosted by Doha, Qatar. The event was originally scheduled to be held from 14 October 2021 to 17 March 2022, but it was rescheduled to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha will begin on October 2, 2023, and conclude on March 28, 2024. The Expo aims to bring the world together to find answers to the problem of desertification and play a significant role in securing a sustainable future. The event is in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and has the following goals:
- To hold the first-ever horticultural show in a desert climate.
- To designate Qatar as the center of this concept to create a showcase for "The Green City" throughout the Middle East.
The Expo will highlight Qatars desertification solutions and the greening of the Qatar desert. The event will take place on the west of Doha city, 2.5km from the city center. The theme of the Expo is "Green Desert, Better Environment". The Expo will showcase the latest horticultural technologies and practices, as well as promote environmental sustainability and green living. The event will also feature cultural and entertainment programs.
