Republic Act No. 7077 is an act providing for the development, administration, organization, training, maintenance, and utilization of the Citizen Armed Forces of the Philippines (CAFP) Reservist Act. It was approved on June 27, 1991, and its main objective is to maintain a standing or regular military force in times of peace consonant to its adequate and actual needs for the security of the State. The act limits incorporation into the Reserves and registration for military training to those 18 years of age or older. The full implementation of RA 7077 is seen to reinforce the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) bill. The act also includes a repealing clause, which states that all laws, decrees, executive orders, rules, and regulations that are inconsistent or in conflict with any provision of this Act are hereby repealed or amended.
