In math, a ray is a part of a line that has a fixed starting point but no endpoint. It can extend infinitely in one direction, and since it has no endpoint, its length cannot be measured. A ray is named using its initial point and any other point through which it passes. The point from where a ray starts its journey towards infinity is called its endpoint. A ray is also used when graphing inequalities.
