A Sharara dress is a traditional Indian outfit that consists of a pair of wide-legged pants, a kurti, and a dupatta. The pants are flared and flow freely till the end, and they are only fitted at the waist. Sharara suits are typically made of lightweight fabrics such as chiffon, georgette, and crepe, which provide a flowy and comfortable drape to the outfit. The Sharara is similar to the Gharara, which is also a traditional Indian outfit consisting of wide-legged pants, a kurti, and a dupatta. However, the Gharara is fitted at the waist to the knees, and the pants flare out from the knees. The Sharara, on the other hand, is fitted above the waist and flows freely through the ankle. Both Sharara and Gharara suits date back to the Mughal era.
