Sleep Focus is a feature available on iPhones that helps reduce distractions before and during bedtime. It can be set up in the Health app to schedule regular times for going to bed and waking up, and you can create multiple schedules for different days of the week. When Sleep Focus is turned on, it can filter out notifications and phone calls, signal to others that you’re not available, and customize the Lock Screen and Home Screen. You can also schedule a wind-down period to begin from 15 minutes to 3 hours before your bedtime, and your Sleep Focus begins at the start of your wind-down time.
Sleep Focus is different from Do Not Disturb mode, which turns off all notifications and calls, whereas Sleep Focus can be customized to allow interruptions from people important to you. Sleep Focus also pairs with Health for sleep tracking, so you can use it to track your sleep and reduce nighttime distractions.
To turn Sleep Focus on or off, you can open Control Center and tap Sleep. You can also turn off Sleep Focus for all sleep schedules in the Health app by tapping Browse, then Sleep, and scrolling down to Your Schedule.
