Sustainable fuel, also known as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the context of aviation, is a type of biofuel that is produced from renewable biomass and waste resources. It is designed to reduce the carbon footprint of air transportation by lowering greenhouse gas emissions. SAF has similar properties to conventional jet fuel but with a smaller carbon footprint, and it can be blended at different levels with limits of 10% to 50%, depending on the feedstock and how the fuel is produced
