In "Modern Warfare 3," Tactical Stance, also known as "Tac-Stance," is a new aiming option designed for close-quarters encounters to offer the best of hip-fire and aiming down sights. It provides improved mobility speed and visibility over looking down a scope, while avoiding the wide bullet spray of firing from the hip. Tactical Stance is described as the "perfect middle-ground between hip-fire and aiming down sights," providing a tighter bullet spread than normal hip firing and quicker mobility than aiming down sights. It is best used at close distances, allowing players to react to an enemys presence faster and with more precision than the other two aiming options. The tell-tale sign of aiming with Tactical Stance is the weapon being at a slanted angle, with a tighter crosshair appearing on the screen. Players can customize the activation of Tactical Stance with options such as ADS + Sprint, ADS + Melee, ADS + Down Button, or double-tap ADS. This new feature gives players a significant boost in tactical variety and play style when approaching enemies and objectives on the battlefield.
